Oracle RAC, Real Application Clustering- Work from Home 4 days a week

QA Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Oracle Real Application Clustering administrator for 4 days a week from home opportunity. Ideal candidate will have Redhat/Linux running on windows experience.  Position will work from home 4 days a week and report in one day in Gaithersburg, MD.  

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide support on a wide range of administrative functions in a RAC configuration, including running test queries, troubleshooting database problems, maintaining version control of database entities, advising customers on new database features, and leading studies to evaluate the effectiveness of current database methods and procedures.
  •  Develop guidance and strategy for Oracle Real Application Clustering (RAC) administration and development
  • Provide technical guidance to develop, update, and maintain CDR relational databases in Oracle RAC and Linux environment
  • Support the system deployment of the database components across development and test environments

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years demonstrated experience in Oracle 11g running on Linux, RAC, ASM, backup/restore, EMS SAN concepts, Veritas, and EMS SDRF
  • Demonstrated experience in RAC configuration, including running test queries, troubleshooting database problems, maintaining version control of database entities, advising customers on new database features, and leading studies to evaluate the effectiveness of current database methods and procedures
  • Experience as Systems Engineer for enterprise application built on top Java, Oracle and Informatics ETL
  • Ability to gain Minimal Background Clearance
